iPot - San Francisco

Going to iPot has turned into a tradition every time I go to San Francisco!  To see all of the other blog posts on iPot, click here.

Once again, iPot was great!  The wagu beef was very tender and I really liked the lamb as well.  We ordered a bunch of meat balls of various kinds, fish, shrimp, pork, mini-octopus, quail eggs and more.    It was all very good.

We were originally going to try another hotpot restaurant called Fiery Hotpot, but I decided I would rather go to iPot since the other restaurant only did hotpot and did not have a self grilling of meat.  I like grilling meat!  So back to iPot we went.

It has become a tradition for me now every time I go to San Francisco.  To me, it's a lot of fun and the food is great.  I used a combination of peanut butter dipping sauce mixed with sesame sauce and satay.  Very good and well worth trying out if you are ever in San Francisco!

iPot - San Francisco "Hot Pot" Restaurant

This was my second visit to iPot in San Francisco.  It's an "all you can eat" Chinese Hot Pot restaurant which offers both hot pot and hot plates for diners to enjoy.

Both times I've been here, the quality was great and service was good as well.  You order the soup base you prefer and then check off all the various ingredients you'd like.  Beef, lamb, wagu, rib-eye... it's all here.  Straw mushrooms, various greens, shell-on shrimp, mussels, squid... you have lots of choices.  We seem to like the "grilling" part more than the hot pot part though!

I think the fun of these places is that you constantly have something to do besides just eating.  Just be aware you will likely get splattered with oil when grilling and that your clothes will smell like you've been grilling too.

Worth going to if you are ever in the San Francisco area!

Dinner at iPot - San Francisco

This is not the first time I have eaten at iPot in San Francisco.  I think it's actually my third time!  We got there just before 5 PM (opening time) and there was a line forming already.

You can boil your food or you can grill it.  I prefer to grill most of the meat.  But I like boiling other things like fish balls, pork balls, shrimp, mushrooms, udon noodles, watercress, mussels, etc.  For the meat, I like the wagu beef and the lamb.  But any other meat that comes my way, I like grilling that too.

We also ordered spring rolls, soup dumplings, crab rangoon and more!  For desert, we had almond jello and ice cream!

By the time we were done, there was still a line to get in.  Considering it was Easter Sunday, I suppose that was to be expected.  Great place!

Highly recommended!
